About Us

Tree Hugger Tiny Homes was founded by Scott Smythe in 2019 and launched in early 2020 with the intent of bringing the highest quality product to the Tiny Home market. With over 25 years in the residential and commercial construction industry he brings the same high standards and attention to detail to the Tiny Home movement.

Scott’s construction career began as a framing contractor where he spent many years framing in the residential home market. From there he transitioned into site supervision and construction management with a few of the provinces largest, most respected home builders. Over the years he has been involved in nearly every aspect of the residential construction process and although most of the work we do is in-house we also rely heavily on qualified professionals for key components such as plumbing, gas and electrical, there are no compromises when it comes to your personal safety and the performance of your home. The Tree Hugger name came about as the result of his heavy involvement over the years in the green built and sustainability movement which transitions perfectly into the Tiny Home market.
