Affordable housing matters—it was our primary impetus for creating the NOMAD Cube.
Knowing that size and technology have a direct effect on construction costs, NOMAD’s husband-and-wife founders prioritized designing a small modular home without compromising quality or livability. Providing an option for DIY assembly was also key, given that labour is the highest cost component of home construction.
NOMAD also takes advantage of computer-driven fabrication to ensure that components fit perfectly every time and facilitate assembly by non-skilled labour. Comprehensive, easy-to-follow instructions allow the assembly process to be completed in just days.
